CAS-ASHA Archaeology Symposium 2022

30 April 2022 @ 9:30 am - 1:00 pm AEST

The annual CAS-ASHA Archaeology Symposium be held within the ACT and Region Heritage Festival as it has been in the past.  This year it will return to the National Museum of Australia and be held within the Peninsula Theatre with sponsorship from the NMA.
The event will be themed with the Curiosity theme of this year’s Festival as ‘More than Curious’ so expounding on the idea that the pursuit of archaeology is not just motivated by curiosity as it may have been once and that it has tangible value.
It will run from 9.30am to 1.00pm on Saturday 30/4/22. Admission will be by gold coin donation with advertising and bookings (when set up) will be via the NMA’s online ‘Whatson’ facility.  The event will begin with a formal Welcome to Country and comprise four interesting archaeological speakers (both historical and prehistoric) followed by a Q&A panel of the speakers.  A further notice with a detailed programme of speakers will be available when finalised and closer to the event.
