The 1990s saw several key developments with the journal – which received a new title, Australasian Historical Archaeology following the expansion and renaming of the society in 1991. Guest editors and themed issues characterised Australasian Historical Archaeology both the 1990s and 2000s. Keen-eyed readers will also note that most volumes of the journal during the 1990s were published later than their stated year.
